Fans choose a monetary amount that they would like to donate based on the number of laps that Andrew Prendeville's Best Friends #5 Firestone Indy Light car completes annually in events across the nation. Donors may participate in the entire season or choose specific events such as the race closest to their homes. It’s a great way to help animals while enjoying the excitement of each Firestone Indy Light race on ESPN2 or at the racetrack.

Based in Hilliard, Ohio, Rahal Letterman Racing (RLR) is co-owned by three-time IndyCar champion and 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal and CBS Late Show host David Letterman. The team has been competing in IndyCar and/or Champ Car World Series racing for more than a decade, compiling 19 victories, 28 poles and one series championship (Bobby Rahal in 1992 in CART), and an Indianapolis 500 victory (Buddy Rice in 2004). Starting in 2007 the team designated Andersen Racing as its official Firestone Indy Light development team. The two teams work together as much as possible as they strive to reach their respective and combined goals. In addition to competing in the IndyCar Series, Rahal Letterman Racing also fields a car in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).
